Master Chief costume from cardboard. NOW FINISHED, page 3

Post by G-force »

I realized that a costume party was coming up this friday and I hadn't come up with a costume yet. Sure, I could go back to that wolverine costume I made last year (espacially now that my hair has grown back) but I wanted to make something cool and refreshing this year. I decided that I wanted to be master chief from Halo 1 (not Halo 2, way too hard too make!) So I started making it around 2 PM today out of some cardboard boxes I found around the house.

So with only 2 days left to cut, glue, staple, tape, and finally paint, do you guys think I can pull it off? Keep in mind that I made my wolverine claws in a single night on a whim

Staus thus far....
Finished: Front chest plate, back plate/backpack, bottom leg armor, hand armor, all cut and taped.

Still left: ab armor, arms, helmet, shoes, and all the annoying painting. Also, everything needs velcro straps on it.

It's going to be...umm....interesting looking  Still, it's gotta be better than this (found while looking for pics of master chief.)

Can't wait to see it. Hey you should call it Master Chiefp since the costums it portable and it would confuse all your friends.

Using my magic Wikipedia powers, it seems that Xmen 3 debuts in theatres that day.

Cardboard claws are too easy ;) I made my claws out of solid acrylic, then melted the hand piece to fit my hand, put aluminum tape on the claws, velcroed them on and ta-daaa!

Well,I gotta get busy if I'm gonna finish this. It's starting to look very doubtful that I will.

On the off chance that I can't build a Master Chief costume in only two days, what are some good, quick, easy costume ideas I could make?
