Verge screens at Circuit City

Just picked up a PS2 version Verge screen from CC for $35 (on clearance). A bit more than at Best Buy if you're lucky enough to find one there, but still thought you'd like to know. Also, apparently the PS2 version comes with a 7.5V 1.5A(!) power supply and an AV connector (1/8" phono style) with a PS2 AV connector on the end. I haven't checked to see if the power supply is regulated yet, but I'd image that it is.

it is regulated, i have the gamecube one, its basically the same screen with different connectors.

I have 2 gamecube ones and the bases are very different. The gamecube ones draw their power from the gamecube supply and have a converting circuit inside the base. This one gets its power from a wall wart power supply, which upon further inspection is apparently not regulated. It puts out around 11.25volts with no load. I popped open the base for the screen and it has a 7808 (with heatsink), 5.1ohm resistor (1 watt I think), and a couple 1000uF 16V capacitors inside.

Also another note worthy of attention is that it seemed noticably darker than my gamecube version. I'm guessing this is a fault of either the board or the backlight as the LCDs are exactly the same. This isn't an issue for me though, as I'll be using the LCD as a replacement, and probably use the board for experimenting.
