Silly Inventions!

Tired of modding something and seeing that spare lcd case sitting around your desk? Not using your SNES Case yet the vision of it haunts you? Well, look no further because now is your time to make good use of those empty casing.

I have 2 extra psone lcd cases and I wanted to throw them out. Before I did, I decided what can I use this for? Hmmm... (i said that)... frisbee's wouldn't work. I stared at it for a LONG time and soon it hit me! A MIRROR!!!!

This casing was used for something VERY special and every morning at work, I use this mirror to make sure I look really good

So...people!!! Tell me...what crazy mods have you done to anything lying around? Show pictures if you have any. I'm going to sleep now though...show me what you got!

Thats a cool idea. I think I might make a picture frame with a PSone case, but I did make a picture frame with a PSone lcd in it. I have to take a better picture (one without flash, and now that I have it better centered).

I made an LED flashlight in a tic-tac container... :D

It only cost me $0.05 to make too!

parts:

5x green LEDs- free in my box of electronics crap
Tic-Tac container- free in my glove box
AAA 2x battery holder- $1.05 (includes 5% MA sales tax)
2x AAA battery- free in the junk drawer
Scrap of PC board- free (electronics box)
small tact switch andboard from old garage door opener system- free (box)
The dollar I found in the RS parking lot- -$1.00 8)

The LEDs point out of the white part of the box (I cut a rectangular hole for them) and are arranged in a straight line. The tact switch pokes out of a hole in the side, and the battery holder fits inside the case, with a bit of filing. I shaved down the two outer LEDs to throw some ambient light, because I'm mainly using it in really dark spaces (crawlspace, inside my laptop bag, inside my PC...).

I might be able to post pics later if I can find the camera.

It's not my idea but a german moderator/comedian invented the WokWM
how it works:
you take a wok put it under your behind and a pair of soup spoons under your feet and than you throw your self down a bob course
perhaps search wokwm on google for more info
External Computer ERROR
please replace User
C64p Pal:
I've build some connectors for disk and keyboard, the screen has been taken apart and the case has been modded a bit

My Two Halves of a Whole Tape Player errr…… thing!

Yes it does work. No there is no record function (yet).

The switch to the right turns the PCB on and off and the pot on the left controls motor speed. Original buttons on the mechanical section still used.

May ad an fm tuner at some point.
