There ya go. And even though the movie was exact to the book, it was fun anyway! See?

Movies are like 9.75 here. (That's USD, not CND or AUS funny money), I dont have the wealth to blow my money of stuff like this. (I dont like to spend 10 dollars on movies I do like...)

OH GOODNESS NO! For godness sakes don't make a movie based on a GOOD game! No take popular games (because games are based on popularity and not actualy value nowadays. XPLAY review = a lot of people like this game 5 out of 5. I haven't really heard of this one before 3 out of 5. I have been told that this game is so original, and weird, and unique everyone should play it 5 out of 5), and mutilate everything that makes them popular. GORE, we can do that. BAD GUYS we can do that. SEX APPEAL, we can do that. USE THE ORIGINAL PLOT, well we can almost do that... All videogame movies should be CGI, because you can't get real actors/actresses to fit the shoes of our favorite game characters. I'll admit I would go see a Halo movie if it was CGI, but casting always gets the "celebrity of the moment", and its just the start of a whole mess of a movie. Hmm Angelina Jolie is popular, but she doesn't look anything like Laura Croft. Oh well, people will see this movie for other reasons. [INSERT BELIEF] forbid they tried to do a live action Final Fantasy, but Advent Children was ok. Sure, it wasn't the greatest movie (heck, its barely a great movie), but I'm sure its better than other game/movie attempts (and vice versa. Petition for the end of movie games!). Anyway, my point is Hollywood needs to stop butchering our favorite games into these horrible movies, or let the game develops handle it completely through CG. Except Resident Evil sequels, for more of Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory). Thats ok with me. *drools*
Anyway, the Doom movie is no good, and some of the monsters are guys in suits.

I have friends who went to go see it. The thing that gets me is that they don't open a portal to hell; instead, the monsters are "genetic mutations". Bagh! How can you screw up the central thing that made Doom freaky? Anyway, I plan on seeing it even if it isn't the best thing in the world. It's not like there's much of a "deep" story for them to go off of anyway. Atkafighter, that was a mighty rant. I don't agree with you completely, but your rant was mighty nonetheless.

what was wrong with resident evil? it was the best video game movie to date, and for a zombie movie...well let's just say zombie movies aren't usually any good... (and I'm a zombie fan)

actually I can only name two better ones, Wild Zero (japanese) and Dawn of the Dead (original). ...and possibly the movie 'Junk' (I've heard good things but have not seen it)

I really didn't care much for the second RE, but they were what they were--decent entertainment for a couple hours. As far as doom goes, it looks like I found a copy. I didn't actually know it was out yet, but a first person movie isn't a terrible idea. It's something new. Unless you count blair witch, but admit it, you all ate that right up too. (guilty pleasure)

I saw this movie this past weekend (doom) and I was VERY disappointed!!!

First, as Joedog86 said, the creatures are genetics..not hell demons!

Second, the FPS sceen is toward the end and it's extremely stupid!!! Only one part was good from that, everything else SUCKED!!!

Third, the movie wasn't that gory so the plot of the game was taken away.

Overall, the person who made/directed this movie is an idiot! It seemed like he was a fan that wanted to get it out and attempted to be cool from this, however, he screwed up everything. To everyone out there interested in seeing this...WAIT FOR THE DVD VERSION!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Seriously, I would highly recommend you wait before watching it...hell, it ain't even worth downloading it just to watch...you can wait.

Thanks joedog86, and I respect your opinions. Most people immediately fire back with something immature, or stupid, or a combination of both.

I don't remember saying anything was wrong with it I did say, however, that more of Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory) would be fine with me. *drools again* She is so fine! As for other good zombie flicks I've been trying to find a copy of Versus (Japanese) for a long time (like years). Its the most awesome zombie movie ever! Anyone have it?

I guess it was too "contriversial" for them to say the "monsters" were from Hell, and that they were Demons.

No they wanted to make it a different story, because opening a portal to hell would be too hard a concept for the audiance to grab. Atleast thats what I see the producers saying.

We really need more independent film makers.
