I did that once :shock: it was really cool it went pretty fast acually someone clocked it at 15 mph :wink: it was cool but then the sail broke so I took a tarp and connected some ropes to it and held on to them while on a skateboard.

Yeah there are boats that have carbon-fiber mast and boom. I will say this I havent heard of a Mylar sail, it would rip too easily and the sound would drive you nuts. I have heard however of kevelar, but if they get over stressed they explode into shread rather then ripping like a nylon or canvas sail.

And as for the people that suggest using a tarp... Its not very good to use. For one its rather heavy (you dont want extra weight), and its a thick weave so you will develop holes a lot faster.

once when i was little i was lifting a huge bit of tarp off my dads pool and i was lifted right up maby a metter or more im not sure cus i was so young, but yeah the winds pritty strong when your trying to catch on to it.
