is this LCD hackified?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

is this LCD hackified?

has anyone tried the CVS one time camcorder LCDs? At 1.4" it seems perfect for mini NOACs. It doesnt have AV-inputs but maybe some one could create a pinout diagram?

It might be possible to use composite video on it. But it most likely wouldn't be easy. In fact it couild be downright impossible depending on the LCD. Your best bet is to carefully open it, look for a part number, google it, see what you get. Thats really all I can tell you without any more info.

I had one and did the CVS full time camera hack. Nope, all I saw was ribbon cable, the brown kind that is like transparent brown. And the mother board. Kinda like a GBC screen. :P

I've hacked the PV2 CVS camera and the camcorder. Neither will work without a chroma decoder.

Yes, that was the word I was looking for. And to make a chroma decoder will cost MORE than to just well, buy a new screen.

You could always use this: http://www.aeicomp.com/Detail.asp?Produ ... 010_LCD18L

Pretty expensive, but it has a fairly high resolution for something that small. Plus it only draws 70mA  .

I'm pretty sure that there's a Lilliput screen that size too, search on ebay for that one.

is the LCD it self only able to use chroma video? a more general question , can all intergrated LCDs only use chroma video ? ( chroma video as in chroma decoded)
