I don't mean mods, I mean hacks. Script kiddie programs and hacker how-tos.

Dont know if you guys are keeping up on the voice chat thing. But beyond that I have a queston; Do you think the Xbox communicator would be alright (sound quality)? I have one and found a driver for it so I figured I'd see and if the voice chat is working I could try it out that way.

It ought to work. I think my friend used his Halo 2 headset to talk on World of Warcraft. If you are running windows there is a sound recorder already installed. It's in Start>Programs>Accessories>Entertainment.

BTW, since gannon's site is back up, so is IRC. I don't know if anyone still wanmts to do that or not.

@G-Force, thanks I'll see about stealing back that Action Replay adapter so I can plug in in. Or if I feel like shelling out $15 to by one and replace the Xbox port with a standard USB. And PM, email or AIM me when we plan to have another chat.

@Sega-Man, I'm talking about the headset not the console itself. You can buy just the headset for $15 (ebay) or $30 (everywhere else) and just either use an Action Replay adapter (for memory cards) or desolder the connection and put a USB port there instead. Simple right?

HDC...err..I mean HDC's brother is right. The Headset itself is a Cell Phone headset.

Yep it sure is and the fact that it has a digital output from the USB connector on the otherside of the puck makes it all the more worthless to use[/sarcasm].

Hmm... Yours must be different than my friends. His just had a connector for the controller then a normal headphone jack that plugged into that. In ohter words his set was actually two pieces, a -pretty much- standard headset, then a piece that went into the Xbox controller.
I assumed that all of them were like that, and apparently not. Still, it should be possible to get it to work on PC with a bit of modding.

We can have a Day of Defeat or CS talk/play server, locked with pass so Benheck members can come, talk and HAVE FUN. Speaking of which, how do you talk in CS or Day of Defeat. :P , I'm serious though, I don't know. google brings up stuff like blogs and random crap.

LIES my friend used it for a skype headset for awhile, he just held it inside of the port. you just make a cell phone jack to dual headphone jack converter.
