72 pin NOACs ?

i am thinkking about a nesp and was wondering if anyone could tell me any info on some of the NOACS out there that take American carts already

i know about the Neo fami but are there any others

-does anyone know the size of the Neo fami board or its draw

or any other info

The one made by Yoba, actually...that might be the neofami

Anyways, IIRC the main board is ~ the size of a nes controller.

The main board is ~4.0625"x1.75"
The power/av board is 3.125"x1.25"
The controller port board is 4.625"x1.25"

great do you know if this thing somehow consumes huge amounts of power
or should i be fine running it of a 5 volt source?

I'm pretty sure it's under 400mA with a cart in, but I just noticed my good multimeter doesn't have an ammeter built in, and my other multimeter is dead

It has an onboard 7805, so it should run at 7.2V, and if you bypass it a regulated 5V source is fine.

I think mine only has a 200 or 300 mA power supply. I'll go dig it out in a second.

WOO! i just got a superjoy 3 at a garagesale brand new in box for 12$, im glad, ive been wanting one for a while now, now i just need a family converter or somthing

Just do it bens way, with two floppy connectors. And I have a pinout for the cartridge posted

Do you have to use the Power AV board? or can you run power and get AV directly off the main board?

My yobo has a 200mA 5V supply. It's tiny on the inside, just a gooped NOAC and a board for the power supply AV outs and a board for the controller ports.

I opened it up last night to take some pictures for the pctures thread along with an original famicom.
