Looking for a mentor...

Hello,

I'm really getting the itch to attempt another portable. Right now, I've got this AOC (see link below).

The problem is, I have no idea what to do next. I have an intec screen pad available. Anyone willing to give me some step by step mentoring through PM'ing, email or Pictures? Thansk a lot.

well, to start, that is NOT an AOC. That's an emulator, and will only play those games included. No carts for you

Well, first get the screen set.

The A/V pinouts for it are in the screens sticky, I think shmagoogin77 (sorry if it's misspelled;)) posted them.

Then take apart the screen. It's quite simple to get the screen removed from the controller, just remove the screws from the back of the screen part, open the screen like you would to use it as a screen-controller, and pull the whole screen part back (toward the shoulder buttons.)

Not too sure about voltage for it, the power adapter puts out 12v 500ma, so you would probably want to add some more batteries.

Then just desolder the AV plugs from your FAOACTE (Fake Atari-On-A-Chip Through Emulation ) and solder the wires from the screen to the AV points.

Or if you wanted to I bet you could figure out how to get the whole shebang into the original Intec Screenpad controller! (depending on if it's the Xbox,m PS2, or GCN version)

For the intec screen pad info in the sticky, you're talking about the portable screen hacking sticky right? I think the link is broken. Do you know where else I can get the info. I removed the screen from the controller, what can I do next? Thanks for your help.

my portable has a namco board from those tv games things which is the sames as the FAOAC and i used an intec screen
on my namco board eveyrthing was labled already
it had like video ground ect.
so it was pretty simple
