So unless I'm confused again (quite possible) then I believe my 1st & next step will be to attatch the battery wires (red & black) to the corresponding wires onthe pin out (red & black).

I tried to show in the picture below what I have in mind, does that look right?

Looks like one of the 10-in-1 Direct-to-TV Fake Atari joysticks.

No, the red wire is for the right audio signal. I sent you the pinout for the Intec screen, either the orange or brown wire is the power.

So basically you're about to put several volts of power into the audio amp circuitry. Bad idea.

I remember the hipgear/intec wires by heart (pathetic I know).
Orange - +V (enough for the 7805)
Green - GND
Black - GND
White - Audio
Red - Audio
Yellow - Video
Brown - Video GND
