Atari Game Recorder article, parts 2 and 3!

I finally got around to scanning those articles. I really wish I had part one for the schematic, but the block diagram, pcb, and code for the micro should be enough for a re-design. Listen, I'd really like some help here... this article is from the early 80's... they have well over a dozen ICs, and most of them are logic gates. (Which can all be taken out with a single micro in this day and age!) I need someone to help me design a slimmed down version of this. To where it basically has the same function as the supercharger. Only reads the audio, no writing.

I really had to slim the scans down (under a meg) so ImageShack would host them, but fear not. Every bit of text is there and easily readable. Same with the pictures. The more detailed pics (PCBs) I had to scan at 600dpi, then seperate them from the pages to keep each file under 1 meg. (Scanned the page at 600dpi, took the pics off, then converted the rest of the page to 96dpi.) As a result, the PCB looks quite nice, as well.

Soooo... the mods, who are responsible for checking EVERY thread, are the only ones who care enough to post... j/k (The funny thing, is that niether of you are mods for this forum.) I wasn't actually expecting anyone to care about it. I didn't get much interest in my previous post about the AGR.

If you guys know of any way I could make this a bit smaller, I'd really appreciate it.
