i need some help!

i need some kind of setup that will allow me to connect up a relay to a 4 hour timer and after that time release the relay...any help would be gr4eatly appreciated

You making a time bomb or something?

Get a 1Hz oscillator and five 4711s. Use the oscillator to trigger the first 4711, which is seconds in ones, and triggers the second 4711(seconds in tens) every time it hits 0. Set the reset of the second one to 6, where it triggers the third 4711(minutes in ones). I think you get the pattern. In the end, you set the relay to the 4 on the last 4711(hours). If you use a 0.1Hz oscillator, you can skip the first 4711, and if you use a (1/60)Hz oscillator, you can skip the first 2(the seconds timer).

If you want a more simple setup, use an alarm clock or timer set for 4 hours, and connect the trigger of an SCR(with anode to power and cathode to the relay) to the speaker of the alarm.
