Nes MAX controller problem.

Ok, so I think I'm the only person that still uses my Max on a daily basis...problem is, the little red finger thing is starting to stick...anyone have any idea what kind of lubercant is inside the controlller to make it slide around so well?

what do people use when b buttons stick???

P.S. wd40 didnt work.

u can open the d-pad by gripping the top tightly and snapping it off, if u want it to slide around quicker try cleaning the inside with Windex, or spray some WD-40 under the red circle

yeah, i tried this...the WD-40 just seems to dry up. I was thinking maybe using a grease lubrecant. but I dont want to mess the controller up.

there is no greese to begin with but just clean it

NO NO NO! NEVER USE A PETROLEUM BASED PRODUCT ON PLASTICS!

Most plastics turn soft when you use somehting like WD-40 or Goof-Off on them. Don't risk screwing up your controller!

What you should do is open it up and clean EVERYTHING with isophryl alcohol (it's only somehting like a buck for a huge bottle) After everything has been cleaned, put it back together and it should work like new. (Mine did

But if you're determined to use a lubricant on it, use sillicone lubricant. It's safe for plastics.

I use isophryl alcohol all the time when cleaning older and newer video game equipment

See, I did open it and clean it all up with alcohol. but now it won't slide around very well. and in game play it is real annoying. what is a good brand of sillicone lubricant?
