Are you sure? I don't see any of my pics on the completed PoD page. I'll ask Spongebuell about it.

Ok, I fixed atkafighter's portables. There is a "pending" stage for portables, so nobody puts in stuff that shouldn't be on that site. I also put up a warning :)

Thanks Spongebuell,
I was trying to add my website, so it would actually link somewhere. How exactly do I do that?

It's already done :)

Oh yeah, I'd strongly recommend using something other than geocities, like 100webspace Much better adwise :)

Yeah, I was trying to get a .tk, but it said I needed another website to link to. I don't know this is my first site, so I really don't know what I'm doing. Aside from the code. Actually I got lazy and started using the Page Builder.

esmartstart's much easier to use and you get 35mb traffic a day, that's pretty good

You can't make a website on dot.tk. It is only a domain for a page that goes to your site, you need to back a site on some other free space.

With 100webspace, you get 3GB monthly trafic, which is nearly 3 times esmartstart.

Not to mention that 100webspace gives you 5x as much server space as eSmartStart...

Really, Geocities isn't all that great. You get a huge banner ad on the side, and every page has at least 1 pop-up. And they only give you something like 15mb storage and 300mb monthly bandwidth.

If you want the features of 100webspace's hosting, but also want the convenience of the PageBuilder, go to www.openoffice.org and download the OpenOffice.Org suite. It comes with a WYSIWYG HTML editor that's pretty close to FrontPage. <a href="http://microsoft.toddverbeek.com/index.html">Here's</a> a site with a bunch of cheap to free alternatives to commercial Microsoft products. And <a href="http://microsoft.toddverbeek.com/author.html">here's a direct link to their FrontPage Alternatives page</a>.

Cool now how would I xfer *d2:lod days flashbacks*... I mean transfer all the pages from geocities to the new page? If possible I'd like to move everything I've done on geocities pretty soon. 100webspace seems like a good home. :)

take all of the .html files on your computer (download them from geocities if you have to) and upload them to the new server. The best way to do that would be with FTP. Check to make sure that is enabled in the control panel, and go to ftp://servername.com in Internet Explorer (not firefox) replacing servername.com with your server.
