If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.
I bought the Sony PSOne screen a few months back and hooked it up to my Amiga. It was working fine up to a month ago then the screen began to die - first it had some garbage on the screen, even though the Amiga wasn't powered up, so I checked all the cables and they seemed fine, but then the screen wouldn't turn on at all - not even the side lights.
It's the pal version I have so I'm wondering if the 5v signal from the Amiga had damaged it. I don't think it'll be that though as my Amiga works fine on my Scart TV.
Actually, prior to it dying I added a 12v fan to the 7.5v PSU for this thing. I figured that if the adaptor that came with it is used to power both the PS1 and the screen that it should be fine having just the fan and the monitor running from it.
Anyone got any ideas on how I've cooked the screen and if it can be fixed or not please?
Alright thanks, I'll give it a shot when I have more time, but I'll probably end up buying a new one anyway considering the cludged up mess I've made of this one
