OK people open your eyes. The portable, manufactured version of the DC is gotta be the PSP. The control thing, one analog, 4 face, dpad and two triggers. DC was capable of homebrew and hacks, per se PSP. The INTERNET BROWSER is even on both of them. I like sOnY but you think they 'ripped off' SEGA.

There is only one analog because they couldn't fit in the other one (heck they had enough trouble fitting the square in there), they couldn't fit in the L2 and R2 (hence only two shoulder buttons they are not really triggers), and the fact it has internet capabilities doesn't make it a DC. Sony has had the PSP a concept for a really long time (before the PS2). It was only until now they were able to make one that was affordable *laughs*, oh and because they had to compete with Nintendo. If you think about it everyone in the industry is stealing from each other. OMG look the XBOX has two analog sticks they stole that from SONY! The truth is that the innovation in the gaming industry is gone.
Listen carefully, because I'm only going to say this once. My eyes are open. Name that quote!OK people open your eyes.
No problem. ^^
I think that controller design copying has been around since the good old days. Many, if not most, controller innovations are taken from Nintendo's NES and SNES.
The Dreamcast did have a few innovations that got copied later, but that is to be expected, since it was the first of a generation of systems to meet with any sort of real success.
The PSP not having dual shoulder buttons isn't something big. Almost all game companies excluding Sony cope with one set, and have since the SNES.
In my opinion, two sets of shoulder buttons can be overkill, but that's probably what the Nintendo old schoolers said about the SNES with its 4 buttons and 1 pair of triggers.
