I would like to start building a portable version of the playstation2, but before I start I have some quastions I hope you would not mind answering...
Firstly I heard that if I have a mod chip installed in the ps2 there is a way of playing the games off of the hardrive...
My quastions are as follows...
A) Can I play DVDs and Music off of the hard drive as well?
B) Is it possible to solder/attach or hack a hardisk onto the newer thiner versions of the PS2?
What I would like to do with this project is to build a PS2portable with out a DVD-rom drive and hopefully make it "sleeker", by runing software from a harddisk or possibly a laptop harddisk to save even more space.
I am not too big on videogames, but I love projects like this, and would probably only use it for watching movies on long trips.
