Mini-Mod Disscussion

Post by Lucretius »

Okay buckaroos, you asked for it, and here it is. Any issues you may have necountered with a specific Mini-mod may be rported here. Please provide a link to the offense or, if it is a PM, quote it here. The minute this turns into a flame war, The thread will be deleted and started a-new. We can do this just as long as you all want. It's up to you, the community. You make this forum happen and it's your right to be heard.

Hope you don't mind me bolding that one part, Luc, but I think that the example is most important. -Sponge

Deleted by me (xriverfalconx).

I posted something that was not meant to be taken in the wrong way. I only typed a joke but it came out the wrong way (which was NOT my intentions).

I simply don't get it. I work my ass off for you guys. I am very busy with school right now, but I still have free time. Do you know where I spend it? Here. Always here. I don't get any time to play games, to talk to friends, to do anything but work at school or here. And for what? I expect nothing in return. No gratitude, no money. Just knowing that i did my job, and well. But instead of recieving nothing, I recieve critisizm and insults. That's what my hard work earned me. I can't explain why you guys do this to me, I don't think I want to know. All I can say is, if you really hate it here, then leave. Get out and join one of the numerous other forums born from BH. But as that I don't see a mass exodus of member's crying "Tyranny!", I'm gonna guess there is no "real" problem and people are simply trying to hurt me and all of the other moderators. Trust me when I say, we see through you. You aren't fooling anyone. You simply want to be mods and firmly believe that you can do so by accusing and complaining. The current mods earned the position through hard work and pleanty of time spent here.

xriverfalconx wrote:I did have a problem actually...it was with this mod by the name of "Lucretius". He always posted about how he reigns over everyone else and that he has all this money from mommy and daddy. That is simply childish.

He then came up to me one day (via PM) and stated that my work is nothing but garbage. If I had his money, I could do better...I don't like that because I have feelings too. I want to be respected as an individual... I feel like Rodney Dangerfield getting beat up by those cops that one time.

Ban him...please?

P.S. Calvin and Hobbes was the best!!! (that is true) :D
What? That dosn't sound like luc at all! Are you sure you got his name right? (I would asume you did with the calvin and hobbes remark). I really don't get this...

And luc, you really shouldn't take a lot of offence in this. There are always critics no matter what you do. It's best to not take the insults very seriously.

Me too. I really don't see any problem with our mini-mods. If you read the rules they are doing exactly what they are supposed to. Actually they are somewhat lenient with these rules (seriously read them, they are pretty strict). I think *o* is just joking but do the rest of you seriously have a problem with these guys?
And for what its worth xriverfalconx your mods aren't garbage. Most people who criticize on others' projects here, have never done anything of their own. It is when they do start something that they realize how difficult this hobby is. I have called a certain mods by a certain person garbage before on these boards and (although the person will never recieve this apology) I am sorry for that. I realize that not everyone has the resources, experience, and time to make Ben quality mods.
Anyway, I think the mini-mods are doing a good job (as opposed to not doing their job at all).

100% with luc. on this one. Its just some guys that take their time and do a nice service for free. It may not be exciting to just remember everyday,
And I cant say it would be fun for me. Im not doing the job, just getting information.

I also agree that I dont see any problems with the mods. I dont think theyre here 24/7 but who is????? You dont have to be here all day, they have lives to live, you know.

So I think theyre doing fine. If you dont like them, tell them.

I agree with Sega-Man with agreeing with bioniclebert with agreeing with Luc :P

Seriously, I think it would be best if this thread was for complaints only, to keep the clutter down... If you guys don't mind :) (Though if you must say I rock, and can't live without doing so, then I suppose you can :P )

Edit: @riverfalconx: Luc is the person that stay positive or stays out of it when looking at other people's projects. He would never have sent that. Do not spread lies about the mods! :x

Holy Crap!!! Wow, everything I said, SERIOUSLY, was a joke!!! I never had a topic locked and I never had ANY issues with Luc. That post was just a joke especially with the Rodney Dangerfield thing...that was Rodney King.
He then came up to me one day (via PM) and stated that my work is nothing but garbage. If I had his money, I could do better...
You believe that too??? He never PM'ed me ever...seriously, everything I posted was a joke only and I honestly didn't mean ANY harm whatsoever. Luc, I am sorry and I didn't mean for it to come out like that. It was only a joke. My sinceriest apologies! :(

The mini-mods actually slightly improved it, by tackling EVERY SIDE of the spam, whereas two people saw the whole locking and enforcing this very in a straight forward manner. :) I may not know what I just said, but, Yay Mini mods :P

id like to bring up something nos_silved said in the other topic:

I don't necessarily agree with mods posting in locked threads, unless it's to explain why it was locked, but it's their own decission if they want to. How the hell is it hurting you if a mod posts in a locked topic.

This was the main thing I'd like to say. Sometimes threads are closed without a good explination. I like how bico. does a good job eplaining, and then he throws in a LOCKIFIED picture.

other times, Ive seen threads closed that I would like to have posted in. :?

Though it wasnt that important, It still would be nice for us as users to try to keep things going correctly.
