If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.
Hey,
I was just wondering if a screen would be ok if I put my batteries in backwards. On the casio screens there is a fuse to bypass if I do it wrong right? Psone screens also have a fuse (I know from experience).
Thanks
There is probably a fuse somewhere on the power in line. Just follow the trace until you come to a square shaped thing, check it for continuity with a multi meter, and if needed jump it with solder and/or wire. If you have no luck with fixing it, could I have it (I would pay for the shipping)?
Well, there was no way to know if it was working before I worked on it so I guessed it was already dead. I don't wan't to mess with the fuse just yet because I don't even know if I put +/- in correctly. G-force if I don't figure it out you can have it. Aww crap I just threw away some boxes.
One of my poop egress friends came over, wander'd into my lab and started dicking with stuff. He took one sceen and pluged it in backwards and nuked an electrolytic capactior. It fried, but luckally i was able to fix it.
