No.

You have to run the PSP 1.50 Eboot now. That thing you ran "tricked" your PSP into thinking it was 1.00, but the 2.00 homebrew block is still in effect.

I'm tempted to downgrade. Tell me how it goes!

Search around, you might be able to keep the browser with 1.50.

THe downgrade works, but there is still a very very very low chance of bricking if not done correctly. I would recomend only having the 1.5 update and the two pictures needed on the memory stick to ensure it works.
oh, and no browser.

I need to read over my Best Buy warrenty to make sure, and ask my father if it's ok, since Best Buy might fix it.

Sony is not "actively going after the people doing it," Seybold said, but the company does not advise running homebrew code on the PSP. "Running unauthorized software will void the warranty," he said.
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

well, if you tell them that it broke because you tried to downgrade, they will ;)...if it bricks, just say that one day you turned on your psp and nothing happened, the little LED just came on...that happened to my psp, after all  !!!!! I've had it replaced, though ;)

ok i downgraded and so far it works great. apparently when downgrading if you take out your battery at one of the screens with THE AC ADAPTOR
UNPLUGGED (it screws up your battery), you can keep the browser with 1.50. people have claimed to do it. i think it is at the screen with all the languages telling you to press O. good luck!

lol, in my opinion its a waste of time, and my it i meant the psp, the gp2x is cheaper and better for homebrew/emulators, you might argue its less powerful, but it isnt

That sounds like a yummy brick recipe to me. I'll just have to buy a second one (maybe in white)for a browser with a decent UI and keep one for emus. You could use the wipeout browser with 1.5 though.

I need a keyboard though, isn't one coming out in the next few days?

whoops, I used the same pic, anyway I think that the psp is better for homebrew, once the hackers fully crack 2.00
