WOO! Game design...

ok in school. they offered a game developers class. naturally, i took it. ive only had one class as of yet, but im already wicked into it and i know exactly what i want to do for a game. i decided on a vertical shooter. but i wanted to differentiate form the class a bit, so i decided to make my own sprites... heres the first one ive finished. let me know what you people think. i will update this post with more as i finish. so check back a few times a week.

now mind you this started as a sketch in my notebook. i then scanned it in, then traced it in photoshop with the pen tool and then proceeded to color it almost pixel by pixel. take note thats its 100% done from scratch. pretty good for my first sprite, no? and yes i am aware of the grey background. i will make it transparent come time.

wait, if its a vertical shooter, shouldnt it be a side veiw, like zero wing? or do you mean a top veiw shooter, such as xevious or space invaders?

Cool. Thats a neat game. And the picture is cool too.
I just started playing that tyrian game, then remember a game called stargunner I played ages ago. So right now Im downloading it at a blistering
10 KB/s! You gotta love the internet.
Also, I wish my school had a game design course. Though, unfortunatly, my school is filled with idiots who would probably break the computer trying to program...

Sweet art though, I cant wait to see some more.
