I've got that Intec screen, and I can see eerythign on my PSone just fine. (Sometimes I hook it up to my VCR and watch TV on it)

My local Circuit City has a few 5" Gamecube screens for (I think) $40. Should I grab one and use it with my PSone or should I just use the Intec screen? (I can afford the screen, but I'm not too sure about fitting the thing into my design.) What's the power consumption of both, excluding LED mods? (cathrode tube only)

Trying to attach the cart slot. Its probably going to have to wait, but I had a problem. i got all of the wires soldered correctly, then I turn it on and it dont work. So I find wires missing, I solder them in and the same thing happens again. This whole thing happpened at least 7 times. Then I got so frustrated that in the process of removing several wires, I noticed there was superglue on some of the pins.....

Hopefully these ones from the genesis will fit, otherwise Il be doing some other stuff.

Hopefully I havent told any of you the actual design for the case, Just to let you know, Its amazing. Lets just say I had to do a lot of cutting, as your first "Hint"

Hmmm will rubbing alchohol. Clean up the pins? I was thinking it might.. Hopefully it will. If not, Im going to buy another cart port (somehow) and/or buy new pins for it.

Ok. I bent the pins that were out of line, and then used some rubbing alk-e-haul on them, hopefully nice and clean. All thats left is to reconnect about 5-10 wires tomorrow, and test it. I'm pretty shure it should work after the fixes. Then I can HOT GLUE the wires in place, and then put it in its Mystery case! Oh and today I got a audio amp chip from radioshack. I was wondering if anyone could show me how to hook it up with a potentiometer for volume control?

Thanks

Oh sorry, its a single audio amp chip,

1- gain 8- gain
2-imput - -----|\___ 7- Bypass
3- imput + ----|/ 6-Vs
4 Ground 5- Vout

It works from 4V to 12V, 2mA current draw. In case you wanted to know,

I'm sorry, not just yet. Its just so cool (in my opinion that is)
I'm not doing pictures until I get the cart port done, and the controller in place..(seing as how I dont have the camera right this moment anyway.)

I'm looking for a way to buy a cart port for the snes! Mine is dead and I'd rather just start a new one anyway. So if you have any suggestions as to where to get one, let me know!

UPDATE: I found this

I bought one from vimmslair and mine definitely was NOT official. The pins on the bottom of the slot were completely different then one from an original snes motherboard. It did work yes, but the design overall was a bit different.
