Anybody read them?, I mean books not like manga and that other stuff im talking about real books. I just finished the last domino, it was pretty good. Anyone have any suggestions on another book? give a brief synopsys of what it is; like on the sleeve of the book as so you dont give anything away.

The house of the Scorpion is great. But the best book by far is any book written by Jon Land. I really love the Blue Widow and Blood Diamonds. I strongly reccomend it. (Not suitable fro children tho due to massive swearing

)

The Ender's Game series by Orson Scott Card (8 books total) is good stuff. I really should pick up Hitchhiker's guide, but it'll have to wait until I'm done with Contact

I've got an all-in-one Hitchhiker's Guide edition. I'm up to "So long, and thanks for all the fish". I could take up reading a lot of Steven King, but he's not an author who I'm really into (though the first book of the Stand is awsome).

Other then that, I read technical books. Like Java Script is one I'll be reading this semestar (taking intro to programming) and ofcourse I have my school books (Networking +, Intro to programming, OS consepts).

Well, I have been reading HG2G on and off, though not lately. For school, I recently read Tuesdays with Morrie. It's a great book, lots of insight of just about anything you can think of

I read
Harry Potter 1-5
The Hitchhicker trilogy (not finished + the book which was not includet in the Five Volumes of the Trilogy "The salmon of doubt))
some starwars books (6 books (author timothy zahn))
some lotr
lots of books i don't remember I own about 40 without schoolboks and that stuff

In the past two weeks I've read...
Slaughterhouse-5 by Kurt Vonnegut, 215 pages.
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King, ~300 pages.
The End of Eternity by Isaac Asimov, 190 pages.
The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton, 285 pages.
And am currently reading A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway, 330 pages, currently on page 60.

And thats like a 12th of what I've read in the past 3 or 4 years, most other books being much longer. Over the course of this past summer (mid-june to the end of August) I read approximately 5500 pages.

And if you want book suggestions, anything by Stephen King is good, whether it be 250 pages or 1100. Recommendations would be The Dark Tower Series (Seven books, a total of 4-5000 pages), The Tommyknockers, The Talisman, and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon are the only books I've read of his, but are all very good.

Michael Crichton makes some damned good scifi; Prey, Jurrasic Park, Sphere and The Andromeda Strain are probably his best.

The Dune series is a very good twist on scifi and fantasy, the first two books are very good, the latter 4 being mediocre.

I think that's it, the LoTR series is good, but fails to live up to series' such as Dune and The Dark Tower.
