help daguuy make his new website!

this is old- new question on page 3
my brother keeps hacking my current website so now it's all messed up and i want to make a better one. while i'm switching sites, i decided to switch to 100webspace instead of freewebs because of bandwidth and stuff. since it doesn't have a page-maker thing like freewebs, i'm gonna make my own. i'm very new to html so i'll need some help. i already found this begginer's guide which helps a lot with learning the basics enough to make this test page but it doesn't help with some other stuff i need.
1. how do i make features like these?
2. how do i make the navigation bar?
3. where are some other more advanced (but still easy to understnad) guides?
4. i'll have more questions later

. my biggest question is how do you make a different colored thing (different color from background) to put all the text and stuff on? if yu don't know what i mean, it's the thing in the pic i posted

you would make a code like.

<table align=center bgcolor="#FF0000" width="200">;
you can change the bg color obciously.

ill post now, a bunch of stuff you can use:

in tables, you can ues images for the background, or colors.
you can change the font for the text that goes in by adding
<font face="Whatever font you want"> in that.
to change the size, you would do <font face="BLAH: size="-2">
to put images in tables, do
<table align=center background="url of image">

when you do that, you are making a single-cell table. The tr and td tags are needed with every table, no matter how many cells. That said, tr starts a new row, like the enter key, and td starts a new cell, like pressing the space bar between words.

so, <tr> stands for a new table row. which would be like this

hey; then a tr after hey would be:

So it would show up as

Save the proposed new benheck.com homepage and open it in Notepad, all the code will be there.

(The reason I say this instead of viewing the source is because when you save the page and open it in Notepad you can alter it and preiew it in your browser)

yeah i found out how to make a kinda decent site! now the problem (not a really big problem) is the name. the site is http://davhar10.tollfreepage.com/daguuy.html . as you can see, it's a pretty long ugly earl that nobody's gonna remember. i could use dot.tk to make it daguuy.tk, but my brother knows about that one and would hack it if he found out i switched sites. is there i different way to give it an easier to remember url?

a long time ago in a galaxy quite close to here if you take a left, there was a place. that place has my GBASP because i forgot to bring it home one day. when i got home i noticed it was missing and was like "bummer." then when i was on the internet one day i found a replacement: a guy made a portable N64 called N64m. then i looked at my N64 and told it to turn into a portable N64 called M64 (M is for mobile) but it wouldn't listen to me. i didn't want to blow $80 on a new GBASP so i utilized my phsycic powers to transform it but it didn't work! then i realized i needed to make it myself so now it's about 60% done. all i need to finish it is a controller and a thing to give it 3.3v. i also might give it a nintendo DS logo to make fun of nintendo DS

Whats happening is that the script is using document.write("x"); to render the poll. The result of this is that the entire page renders, then gets overwriten by the poll script. My advice is just kill the poll.
