Hey, we can bash on the Micro all we want, but it won't change the fact that Micro is lording in Japan right now.

Besides, I think of the Micro as an 'economy' handheld system for those who don't want/can't really afford a DS. It also has an extensive existing library to fit the title.

I'm starting to get a bit tired of the pointless system and company bashing on these forums. It isn't what Benheck is about at all, and I see too much of it online as-is. It reminds me of the Nintendo Revolution controller threads. Nintendo is making Boku Bucks regardless of our personal preferences, and no amount of arguing can change that...or anyone else's minds.

I never used to see it this much on the forums...

I don't buy that. Why not pay thirty-freaking-more dolars and buy a system that is MUCh better than the GBM? Smells like crap, to me...

And SuperNES is already out and is only $40 more. Wonderful.

But the toploader works better than the toaster and does more.
so what if it's not going to sell big, every one of them is sold at a profit, and they will sell--besides, which one is going to be the collectable one?

and if they wanted the DS to sell, they should have made it feel decent...

1. It is an economy handheld. A 30 dollar difference between handhelds that are priced 100 and 130 is a big difference. If someone doesn't even want the DS and its features, then why not pay 30 dollars less and get a cool little handheld? Its not like games are going to stop being made for the GBA, so they're not releasing a revision at the end of the console's life. Many games made for the DS will use the touch screen, and some people might not like that, just wanting plain old buttons.
2. Yes, this is a general topic forum, but I don't see why you need to bring your negativeness about Nintendo to it all the time. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and I'm willing to respect your opinion that the Micro is idiotic. However, other people will disagree with you and instead of calling them idiots and bashing Nintendo all the more, why not just listen to what they have to say once and awhile.

Okay, now I know I'm going to get lots of negative feedback for this post, especially from Luc, but whatever, its my opinion.

1. $100 simply doesn't make it an economy handheld. Just another expensive toy.

2. In the real world, little boy, we argue. If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. We're an opinioated, and explosive group here. Yes we have srict rules, only because they are the unspoken rules of society that too many morons couldn't follow and we had to spell them out.
I can say what I want. Hell you can say I shouldn't say it. It's a free forum, get used to it. People will say thing you don't weant them to say, and there won't be a damn thing you can do about it.

As for being negative, well, don't crap on my rights. I am rather fervent about having them.

1. The original GBA was $100 when I bought it. The GBA SP was $100 when it came out. Back in the day you could buy a GBC for $90 and a GBA for $120. There's a $30 difference. Plus since the GBA is nearing the end of its run, the extra $30 will be cheaper in the long run because when they stop producing GBA games you'll have to buy a DS ANYWAYS to keep up with the times.

2. The world isn't all sunshine and roses, everyone has opinions, and they have the right to express those opinions. If you don't like it, don't read those threads. Simple as that.

Pardon me, I didn't mean for my post to sound like that, I typed hastily and didn't bother to read over it before submitting. I was simply trying to point out that not everyone is going to share in your opinion, and are likely to keep them. Sorry for not being clear in my post.

I was thinking about the revision of the GBA and I realized that in my mind this is the only unnecessary revision. You have to admit, the screen on the original GBA was terrible, and was practically impossible to play most of the time. A light was needed, which was what the SP offers. So, in my mind this is the first unneeded revision since the SP did actually offer things that were vital to a handheld. Let's see...what other systems have been remade? Oh, how about the Playstation and the Playstation 2. Both were just condensed, adding nothing extra to how the game is played or ease of play. Yet I don't see people criticizing Sony for doing this. How about the iPod? There's been several generations of the main iPod, then the iPod mini, and now the iPod nano. Somehow only Nintendo seems to come under fire for doing these revisions of their systems.

Techincally, the system rocks. Alone, it's fantastic. But set it next to the Rest of Nintendo's products, and it's a waste of time and money. The PS2, is a freak of nature. I don't know what happened there. They just got lucky, I guess. The Ipod was a result of smart marketing and good design. The iPod is a symbol of Technology. The GBA line isn't. In other words the iPod is popular, the GBA line...isn't. And the ads are well done. Nintendo ads...are nearly unexsistent...

seriously though, I agree with luc. if they release this as the original GBA...then it'd be AWESOME...but hell, they already have TWO other GBAs!!!!! most people have one by now (most people who would want one, that is) and if someone doesn't have it, then they'd buy the cheaper GBA SP or the more expensive but way more capable DS...I suppose if you ONLY wnated to play GBA games and you couldn't care less about the DS and you had a hundred bucks, then you'd buy the GBM. oh, or if you live in japan, too

. but other than that, there won't be many people interested in this, IMHO...

I'll agree on the ads part, Nintendo doesn't do much advertising, especially for the Gameboy line. I've seen a few DS ones, but that's beside the point. As for the waste of time and money, perhaps it is. For those of us who already have a DS or a GBA SP, there really isn't a use for it. However, for those who don't have a Nintendo handheld, it offers a stylish alternative. True, they can go and buy a SP for a bit cheaper, but this will be the featured gameboy system from now on. And I don't know where you got the idea that the GBA line isn't popular. I know from experience by working with little kids that many of them have GBA's. Routinely around 11,000 SP's are bought weekly in Japan, even with the DS being there. While the GBA line might not be as popular with the teenage population like the iPod is, it still appeals to younger kids as a cheap and portable system.
