Sales figures for the GBA Micro are in. And you know what? It kicked Japanese arse. The last nail in Nintendo's coffin? I think not.

The famicom one is rocketing off the shelves. Crazy Japanese seem to love it. I've always been behind the Micro, maybe not in the idea of it, but the fact that it would sell well. I mean, the SP is selling well, so why wouldn't an even smaller one sell just as well? I'd seen those figures a few days ago, but didn't feel like mentioning them here since seemingly everyone hated the Micro.

The micro strikes me as the kind of thing that schoolgirls would consider cute and put on their keychains of lanyards. I felt it would sell well, though I don't personally plan on buying one. If I see one for $20 though, I may obtain it for modding purposes.

Luc is right there have been many things over here that didnt do as well in Japan. Not to mention we have fanboys over here well I'm sure they might have some over there most people that play video games I'm sure are not going to be zealous idiots and abandon a whole company and its prosects.

The micro might do a well as the SP but really its more eye candy then the SP. And as soon as people realize that *sales figures plometing*.

In general, people out in Japan are gadget-crazy. (I mean they have sit-in bathtub machines that do all the bathing for you for chrissakes!) So they'd probably buy the Micro. The equivelant price in USD over there is less than $50. I'd concider buying it for $40 or $50, just to hack up and put in a SNES controller or something.

But $100 for the Micro is a bit too steep. Plus it's kind of pointless, I mean we've already got the GBA, GBASP, DS, and GB Player that all play GBA games, so why do we need another GBA-compatible system? I mean the GBC was JUST the GBC, there was no GBCSP or GBC Brick, and it was immensely popular.

(you could add GCp to the list if you figured out how to add the GBplayer to it...)
