im sure its not trumpetwhirlwind
this is the bad link
I do not Sugest clicking it unless you want to kill your PC if you do go right ahead
(Bic-edited. I put the bad link in "code" brackets so nobody can inadertantly click it.
Just looking out for everyone's computer-safety. Remember it's not a good idea to click on ANY link that's just an IP address.)

So...tempting...I just hate when people post links, then say not to click em. Curses! Anyways, that's some nasty stuff you got there. I agree with Bicostp, I highly doubt HDC would be capable of something like that, so it can't be him.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Zacko, and think I can give halfway decent proof.
See, I was talking with the man himself, and he convinced me that he has changed. I thought it seemed possible, but asked G-Force for a second opinion. He told me he'd like to see him have a second chance, since he came from a forum where people do what they want. Also, when I talked with Zack, his tone has changed a bit and all. He was really excited about being unbanned, I cannot see why he would ruin it
Also, the IP address traces to Missouri, so that may make a difference as well.

I agree. It was an IM. IMs aren't forums, and don't have moderators. Am I wrong for thinking that's the end of it?Metroid fan wrote:But it was an im..
don't tell me forum and moderation policies are now 'get revenge for things that happened outside the forum realm by people that may or may not be who they say they are'
The computer is fine now, so block the specific IM user on your end and move on. Never click on executable "pictures," and jeez, don't put your AIM name out there for everybody passing through to see in the first place. a lesson for all...
edit: also might just have been a tool that grabbed a random name from your IM list and hooked you with a generic "how do I look?" line. My guess is you really didn't want to see how G-force looked anyway

Here is what happened, someone I talked to before popped up with the "click here to see me" so I thought what the hell, it can't be anything bad. Oh man was I wrong! At first nothing happened, then after a few minutes AIM started going haywire! I realized it was sending IM's without me knowing. I closed it as quick as I could, and then disabled the wireless connnection for fear of anything else happening. Then I did a Norton Virus scan, it found only 1 hacker file.
I am guessing that this is a spreading kind of hacker/virus. One person clicks on it, and it spreads to their computer, sends the link to their buddys, and they get it, etc.
Zacko had NOTHING at all do with it, he is 10000% inoccent. Just because he is the only "hacker" we know of, dosn't mean he is always the one we should dump on.
I am extremely sorry that this happened
Geez, I hate hackers. Again, very sorry.

Where was your auto-protect G-force?
I guess I should be glad that I had that as, being a stupid moron (comeon its not a pic and there was a numaric url) downloaded it and opened it. Norton said found virus... Deleting virus.
Its things like this that make me wish I could buy another laptop hard drive to run Unix.
