Ive been going back and forth about what console to portabalize. I've gone from GC to PS2 to DC and back to PS2, but I've finally decided that if i can fix my otha GC I will portabalize that. (just so you know, I don't own a dreamcast which is why I obviously couldn't portabalize it.) Any information on a pGC would be great. Thanks!

Gamelver has two threads that talk about his GCp. One follows his work on it and is over 25 pages is size. The other is s condenced version so that you can get to the useful info without having to dedicate a week to reading the former thread.

That should help you. Also I dont think anyone will link it just look back a page or two in the thread listing of this forum or do a search.

There's a lot of tips in Gamelver's thread, one on how to make the optical drive only 1/2 its original thickness (should be helpful). Another tip to think about is taking the connectors off the 2 boards and connecting them with wires. The guy at http://www.portablesystems.net did the same thing in his DCp, and the innards of a GameCube and Dreamcast are fairly similar.

yeah the power board is really easy to relocate but you might as well leave the disk drive were it is seeing as it fits over the heatsink perfectly

It might not be the best idea to start with pGC, but I figure I have two and one is just sitting there collecting dust. So, I figured I may as well portabilize it. I do have a snes and a nes, but they barely work as it is. I'd rether not wreck them any further. Gamecube is the cheapest of the recent systems anyways. If I succeed with my pGC then I promise a pPS2 and a pDC. Wish me luck.

the GC is actually not very hard its really close to a snes it just takes more power and the controller can be a female of the dog species to work with

but be careful with the power board one of mine just fried randomly i think it was static but nintendo stuff is usually pretty durable
