Ok, http://arstechnica.com/reviews/hardware/nano.ars/3. I exaggerated slightly, if you drop it from a height of 9 feet or so, the LCD ceases to function, but it doesn't kill it to run a car over it!!

ipods are such a fad now, no one even cares if you have one. A year ago, when ever i listened to my mp3 player, everyone would be like is that an ipod? Now half the people in the us have one, so no one cares. My new mp3 player is ultra cool, so everyone always wants to look at it, ask me how many songs are on it, and tell me the astounding fact that"its so small"

i have to agree with ya on that one, i mean, its LESS THAN ONE SQUARE INCH AN DCAN HOLD HUNDREDS OF SONGS! and it has an oled scren, fm tuner,many colors (other than white) and so much nmore

It has white too. I think there are 6 colors, compared to the ipods 1 and the mini's 4? Anyway, here are some pics of it. It came out end of july btw.

I just realised something. I was just watching the new nano commercial, and i just reaised that its not like the normal ipod commericals, with the colors, sillouhettes, and dancing. I wonder why they did that?

Apple realized that those commercials are annoying now. Also they're trying to emphesis the fact of how small the Nano is.

I've come to a desion and I'm going to buy a Creative Zen Xtra. Reason being for just under $200 I get an MP3 player and a 30GB hard drive that fits in my pocket.

I'm not going to knock the Ipod too much its a very nice, and stylish thing. But for the prices its going for I'll just find a way to transcode AAC to either MP3 or WMA.

I bought a Creative Zen Micro a couple of months ago and honestly I love it. I have no problem with the iPod, though. It was just the better deal to get the Zen Micro at the time. When I bought it, the prices for a Zen Micro and an iPod Mini were both $200 (I have no idea how they compare now). However, the Zen Micro had one more gig than the Mini and it also had a built-in voice recorder (great for college classes, trust me) and an fm tuner (which for some odd reason you can record as well... haven't used that feature yet...). Plus, if I ever decide that I'm just going to go crazy with my money, I'm not tied down to just using iTunes. Have any of you looked at Napster to Go? It's interesting.

But anyway... I say that whatever you go with, just make sure that you like it. I'll admit - the iPod is slick. And yes, it pisses me off that there are billions of accessories for it but almost nothing for the Zen Micro. But the main idea is that you should all see how hard I'm rocking with my Zen Micro and its Altoids tin case that I made for it:
