Hello i just found these at a yard sale
a Book of Lincoln Head pennies
from 1910-1940
all in good condition
How much are they worth?
I just want to know how mch they are worth

Um... all recent pennies have Lincoln's head on them... 
Do you mean they have "ONE CENT" in a couple stalks of wheat on the back? They're worth a little bit...
Steel pennies are cool. (I have a few). Not sure how much they're worth.

Steel pennies are not really that valuable as thats whay most pennies were from '42 to '45. If you do find a copper pennies from one of those years put a vise grip on it those are worth a lot and I do stress a lot.bicostp wrote:Steel pennies are cool. (I have a few). As for the pennies value you can find stores in your area I'm sure that can apraise them for you.
Speaking of whick I have a half penny from (I believe) England that is dated 1908. Really should find out what thats worth I've had it for nearly 10 years and no idea what its value is.

If you want hold on to them if you like collecting valuable, or you could go and sell it. Last I heard those copper pennies are worth in the hundreds of dollars. About the only time you'll find a penny of that value is if a mis-stapmed one escaped the mint.

The pennies you have are called 'wheat cents'.
If darkened and worn, then they are worth about 50 cents each maximum. If all the details are intact and are in good condition, then the value may be a little higher.
The 'Wheat Cent' was minted from 1909 to 1958. The Lincoln Memorial cent (what we have today) was started in 1959.
Look to see if you have any 1909 pennies. Some of them are worth quite a bit of money.

Steel pennies were only plentiful in 1943. They DID make silver nickels from 1942-45 though. ^^
