I am back!
I've been gone for the last 4 days building my Super-Ultimate project, the thing I've wanted for 15 years! It's my full size Neo Geo arcade machine!
Of course I couldn't just BUY one, or use an old cabinet. I've done it all completely from scratch (using a big router to cut all the wood - yes I cheat!) I've got it back to Verona but it still needs "assembling" (the cab is done but it needs flourishes, the brushed aluminum side panels attached, guts etc) It is also somewhat "portable", pulling apart into 2 pieces so it's like moving 2 TV's rather than a HUGE single machine.
Look for pics and a story later this week! (Have to finish some Neo Geo PORTABLES first...)

Using a router isnt cheating. Think of it as an over sized Dremel.
Sound like a nice set up for a cabinet. You wouldnt have to plans for it? I might be interested.
Also one last thing, we hardly see you around here so really, I atleast didnt notice you were gone for 4 days.

Yeah the brushed is real so it scratches easy (and never in the right direction) I've got it glued on, next step is mounting the monitor. I need some spacers for it as it needs to sit back an extra .5" I'm also adding a never-before-seen feature to the coin doors to encourage my friends to stick quarters in.
It should be the coolest looking thing I have ever built... hopefully it'll be done by the weekend!
