To answer the original question: I would buy a clamshell PSP over the standard unit.

The clamshell would be almost as thin as the original (the original thickness + two extra layers of plastic), the design itself keeps the screen safe from scratches and etc, and by moving the screen, the problem with one of the control buttons being sticky would be solved- and no more thumb-prints on the screen. The idea is very definitely sound, if only it were to come true.

In opossite to Teraflop... Double The Thickness, A Tiny Bit Smaller... it's hardly Mini... Four Times The Price

I agree for something that has a slightly lower volume if you will, its not mini. Also the psp has a nice big wide screen, where as this one is smaller

i'll buy it mini when it has too nubby thingies, so maybe they could redesign ape ascape
