NOAC with psone screen (Screen fixed, Noac Fixed, PICS!)9/27
hello, i recently obtained an half wired noac system from gannon and i am at complete lost as to what to do to connect the noac to the psone screen. has anyone done this, and can provide info on the wiring diagram? thanks in advance for any help...
i figure run the video and audio wires from the outs of the noac to the psone screen(1 video and two interconnected audio out wires (pg 162) ), but i still get nothing...
this unit was orignally connected to a hip gear screen. if that helps at all..

HOLY CRAP!!!! it worked!! ahhhh!!!
i now have both audio and video(dark)! w00t!
i tell ya man, nothing ever sounded soo sweet then to hear and see the smooth sounds of ZELDA.
now all i have to do is figure out why the screen looks dark..and i'm pretty sure it's that the 5+ volts isn't getting to the circuit. will have to keep updated.

gannon wrote:what voltage are you running the screen off of? If it's over 9V that may be the problem.
you were right! i had about 9.7 volts running to the screen, so i just used ben circuitry in his book so that it would only give the psone screen 7.5 volts, and it WORKED!!!
w00t!
now i have perfect picture and sound, and runing at 9.7 volts...so maybe 2-3 hours of playtime
now all i need to do now is design a case..
congrats' machina!! Seriousally! You asked a question, it was answer'd, and you were able to figure it out. I usually have to go through this pain staking process of explaing each and every step to someone cause they dont hae a brain or common sence! I cant wait to see your finished product. If you need any help on the electronics or case, feel free to PM me (posting works too...).

Yeah, Triton figured it out! I cant stand retards... and im allowed to use that word... retartd. I have brain damage, ive been in mental hospitals for it. When i see people (SHAMGOOGIN!!) not use their brains, it makes me mad... Mad like an old man eating Jell-O on a stick. Normies (thats what I call you people) have no idea what its liek to have a huge amount of smarts, then loose it, and fight for years to get some of it back. Its insulting to me when soemone just doesnt want to think, they just want the answers before they can compose a proper question. Or they ask a question and all you can say is "WTF! Was that english?!"
"I have problem plugging wire into things and my screen not work" *foxx clubs n00b in brainstem with glofclub* now you have an excuse!! Ahhhhh!
Ok, im gonna stop befoe i rant even more lol
Machina, if you are just as good with general building as you are with figuring out electronics machina, i cant wait to see what you come up with. Ive seen some really botched up case designs. Sorry Gamelvr, but your GCp case could'a been a bit less "had one too many beers when drilling the holes". And DKap's DCp... wow. Now THAT was some really nice work! Everyone else just needs to stop using so much electrical tape... and hot glue.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHH!!!
ok so i think when i was in the processs of making a case for the finished nesP, a few metal chunks might have flown into the battery connector that i have...because the second i reconnected the battery i heard a slight zap, then the screen make a BIG ZAP followed by a bright flash from the leds..the thing scared the crap out of me.. !
(running 9.7volts, regulated to run 7.5 for the psone screen)
anyways, i bypassed the ps1 fuse part on the psone screen (pg 91), put some solder in its place, and bam, screen started working.! volume and contrast knobs and all....
BUT! heres the thing, did i fry the noac itself? everything was wired perfect before the fry..now i get nothing....
no game... no sound..no video....but hey, the screen works, and the 3 leds too (thought i fried those as well)
.....*whew...
what do you guys think..help! ahh!
