 here in puerto rico, we felt the cries of USA, and cried too ( myself included) but war shouldnt have been the answer. in puerto rico, we were grateful that it wasnt here the attack, butwished that it would-ve happened to us, a small sacrifice, could have changed the whole world, and if u would have read the Bible since after it was written in ancient times, it wouldn't have happened: Sofonias in spanish ,Zephania in english chapter 1, verses 7-14. read it and see if it was ur fault...

edit: chapter 1, verses 14 til the end of the chapter.

I was just stting down that morning to think about joining the military again. I was making good money as a mechanic at a dealership, but I had finally decided waht I wanted to be when I grew up. I wanted to get an engineering degree, but that meant time out of the shop and less money coming in (big deal at nearly $30 an hour). In the military, you have to be brain-dead (like I was my first 6 years in) not to take at least one class each semester and slowly work your way towards a degree.

The house my wife's family had given us had fallen through (after we spent time and money fixing it up), they decided they wanted to sell it instead.

I turned on CNN as background noise as I wrote my pro/con lists to help think about it (good idea for any major decisions in life) and saw the towers. I didn't write any of a list after that, but it did help with my decision.

i fail to see what the bible has to do with evil people attacking the twin towers and killing innocent people. this is what i think: i dont know why we went to war in iraq, other than sadam was an evil dictator and would probably have helped terrorists and stuff, and i think the golden rule applies "do unto others as you would have others do unto you" they (al quiada or whoever) attacked us so we are at war with them. its in their holy book "an eye for an eye" and all that. just look at the london and madrid bombings and tell us we were wropng to go after those who attacked us

im a cold, heartless bastard... but actually SEEING that stuff happen, right in my home town was a real hard time for me. Most of my emotions dont regiser properly, but i can tell you, that was a heavy day for me. I felt the emotional weight of my fellow NY'ers.

My day woke up with someone calling the house, and my g/f wakes up, puts on the only TV channel available, just to see the planes hit... she woke me up, i didnt realize WTF was going on. I looked at it, mumbled "I saw this movie", and tried going back to bed. Before my head hit the pillow again, i realized, it was real. We both sat in complete disbelief over what happened... Then she got really freaked out cause every 3 years something terrible happes to me, or because of me. Ironacally, arround the 9/11 time period. She thought i might have somethng to do with it... once she actually put some thought into it, she went back to being.... whatever that feeling is called, i dont know its name.

I rode my ghetto pee-wee herman bike home listening to a modded AM/FM radio i rigged together from some scrap so i can listen to the news reports on my way home. I normallly rode down a street thats high traffic. Everyone stopped in horror, and cried for those that could not. There was a light rain of burnt debis falling on me. I wasnt in the city, but on the island next to it. I saw those towers burn for days. I was able to smell the death and chaos. My g/f and I were going to offer our services for the emrgency rescues, but we didnt, knowing we wouldnt come back. I have taken terrorist psychology and tatics, ive read up on gurella warfare, i knew how bad any rescue efforts would be. (anyone wants quick reasoning or some enlightnment on how the crap really went down, PM me)

A lot of the times on the forums i tend to sound a little psychotic, and tend to be an poop egress, but honestly, buy knowing how the psychos work allows me to protect me and my family...

I dont want to bring the bible into this. Those butthole pirates have really misled and construded beliefes. They use religion to get people to have faith in something, then tell them they will ascend when they sacrifice themselfs for their dogmatic beliefes... which goes agains the religion they are based on.

And no, we shouldnt have gone to war, whe should have copulate nuked them, leveld them flat, paved them over, and put up a sign "USA Parking ONLY!!"

Or make a big municipal pool, and fill it with live mines... (and dead rechargeable barries and failed portable consoles)

didnt say he did, i said he could have, and yeah like half of the terrorists that attacked on 9/11 were from saudi arabia. i thnk we should drill in ANWAR and get that hydrogen stuff off the coast, screw the environmentalists, they are retaeded anyway, ANWAR is FREAKING HUGE, putting a few oil drills and stuff there isnt going to hurt anything, and will lessen our dependancy of foriegn oil, plus bush is an oilman, the oil companies are having record profit ,exxon is estimated to have over 10 BILLION dollars in PURE PROFIT next quarter, and bush just gave them a tax break and they are price gouging! bastards

and waht fox said about all the crap and dogma that these terrorist leaders is totally true, they rope in these young religous people and polute their mind with half truths and a twisted perversion of what their religion really means, i dont know much but what they do is wrong and someone should stop them, im not saying the USA is perfect (far from it in fact) but it is usualy a safe, good place to live, even tho it has its problems to deal with, personally i thing we should become isolationist, block off the borders to the south, close off most ports etc, just drop whatever the hell we are meddeling withelsewhere in the world and let them fix their own mess, if they screw up and got to whar or whatever its their problem, not ours

Wow we had wanted and the whole Congress and President of the time agreeed as of '98 that Saddam should be taken out. The only problem with the timing is that people are making it out that Bush had to motive for it.

Suicide Bombs, chemical weapons and regualer weapons. You have to remembe the quote "Is the enemy of my enemy my friend? Or is the enemy of my enemy, my enemy?" Chances are he saw this a way to hit us for what we did years ago. The whole of the Middle East doesnt really like us, so you know what they throw the first real punch we're punching back!

What the heck, I'll squeeze my story in...

It was a pretty ordinary day in the beginning. My teacher asked me to take the attendance papers down to the office, and all of the TV's were on on the way there, in the library and all. When I arrived at the office, it was the same thing. Except, this wasn't the normal TV announcement slideshow, this is CNN. You know it's something important at this point. The only other time I remember that happening was when Senator Paul Wellstone of Minnesota was killed in a plane crash.

I asked what was going on, and someone told me a plane hit the world trade center. I told my teacher what was going on, and she immediately turned on the TV. Keep in mind, this was a social studies class, so it's pretty closely related. The tv was on, but we were to keep working on our projects. At the time, it was hard to say how serious this was, it was thought to even be an accident at the time. However, it later became apparent of what was going on.

George Bush, at the time an OK guy in my book, (then again, this was before I got into politics... let's just keep it there, no flaming) made a speech. That was one of the main things the teacher had us pay attention to, saying that it is "making history"... looking back every year, she couldn't be more right.

Next class, Science. About half of the class knew what was going on, rumors were spreading like wildfire. When a few kids told my science teacher what was happening, she didn't believe it at first. Not in denial, she just thought the kids were trying to waste some class time :(

For the rest of the day, we had nothing but rumors, as the principal ordered all TVs off for the day (poop egress) there were rumors of them going down, and I didn't believe it until a teacher confirmed it (I'm assuming they had something in the teacher's lounge)

These days, my brother has the same set of teachers I did that year, and on the first day of school my social studies teacher still remembers me as the person that first told her about 9/11. What a way to be remembered :|

Edit: Oh yeah, one of the people fighting the terrorists on flight 93 grew up pretty close to the area I live, kinda weird

I think a lot of this was Clinton's fault. He had the chance to try Osama Bin Laden when he was President, and he had a chance to take out Al Quidea when we had cornered them, but he did nothing. Now I agree, the war on terror isn't exactly stopping the suicide bombers and such, but is the best thing we can do at the moment, and don't say it isn't. If we back off, we would most likely be attacked again, if we nuke them, other countries will start to hate us, so it's a no win situation. We should keep up with the current plan, cause we haven't had a big attack since we started this whole thing. And no matter what he said, if Kerry was President, he would've kept on going as well, because any sensible person would've seen that it is helping, 'cause there has yet to be another big attack.

My story is really short. I was sleeping in, my mom came in crying and said "Quick! Turn on the TV!" and started telling me what she had read on the internet. Our TV was actually messed up at the time so we could only get air channels, and the only station had the same footage over-and-over. It was a really awful feeling to know that people were dying awfully and there wasn't a thing I could do about it :(

I'm a little late to post this..but for one, it was 5 years ago.

Anyway. Please, stop doing this remembering this every year. If America wansts to forget about this awful tragedy, stop brining it up! You still have to remember it, but unless it's a huge thing like OH I DUNNO, THE HOLOCAUST, IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE BROUGHT UP FIVE YEARS LATER.
