(in lesser terms, it lets your computer look for aliens.)

Id do it if i had 2 computers, but my computer is extremely slow as it is, and doesnt need anything else. Workunit is a cool word though. Makes us sound like a rebel army!

Mr Cool: SETI@Home only takes up idle CPU process. In fact, they have a SETI Screen saver... I had a SETI Cluster on 35 machines in my home network. It was fun, but i dont use more than 3 at a time now.

And contact was an AWSOME MOVIE! Most people dont get the real point of it tough. Its not about finding aliens, its about a woman finally finding faith. Palmer Joss int he movie keeps talking about finding a higher power that made him not fear anything, and not worry... he was awe struck. Compare that to Ellie's journey to the other worlds... yeah, just watch it again and compare the incodents of faith. The one thing that really made me realize this was when her dad dies and drops the popcorn, it takes the shape of a star cluster. at the end of the movie she picks up some sand, and its got the same star cluster in her hand.

Good movie, analize it.
