I'm not surprized. I mean, yeah, people selling them at a game show is one thing but a kiosk in a mall... The first time I saw one I thought "That's kind of brass of them..." It's too bad Nintendo doesn't make their own NOAC device, it'd probably sell better than the Gamecube

Not many people would buy it tough cause nintendo would overprice it and take out the cartrige port.

You think? The people at Radica kind of have a cart port (more the chance to put one in), but why would Nintendo go with just emulation?

......I was just thinking that the reason the U.S. is going alone with this is at the software is copyrighten and so is illegal, and thats why Nintendo's mad they cant sell their repackeged NES games for the GBA SP if poeple buy the NOAC.

Yeah, I think the NOAC market crossed the line in Nintendo's eyes when little shopping mall vendors started selling them to the general public. There are tons of people who don't know where to look on the internet for something like a Famiclone and really have no idea what a "Power Player Super Joy 3" is. But when they see it being demonstrated on a TV at a mall, they go, "Oh wow, I remember these games! Look it's Super Mario!" And if they have any sense, they go "Hmmm, 20 bucks for a NES Classic GBA game (not to mention the GBA itself) or 30 bucks for 76000 NES games in one?"

It would be so cool if Nintendo released an official portable NES, but I don't think they will. Even though there's a lot of us retro gamers, there isn't enough to warrant it. It's sad too because I don't get into the newer video games too much. I only own next generation consoles to serve as my gimps for emulating classic consoles.

How would customs recognize them? I mean, it is one thing to detect bombs, drugs, and stuff, but the Japanese carry their tech around all the time, and TONS of tech is shipped out stateside for sale! If they opened every Japanese shipped peice of luggage, they'd NEVER get done! Shipments may continue if the pirates do it right. Maybe with a cost boost though...

Even if they DID look at everything, they'd have to be trained to find and recognize these electronics.

No they dont and cant check everything, they check based on history and how the courior is acting. They will search a shippment is it is suspicias looking. Thats it, its the same thing by the tunnal and brige that connect to Canada by me.

well im pretty confident that the store at my local mall will stay in buisiness i mean they're not going to shut down every little shop across the us becuase theres to many little shops and stores that sell them besides i doubt theyll have enough patience to check them all.

i stopped by the mall today and the shop sellin them was still in buisiness but when i asked the guy the price he said $59.99 i was like whoa way 2 expensive id rather buy a nes and the games for 59.99
