Why can't we go back to the IRC?

Because IRC is loaded with virus holes, security exploits, and it doesn't work behind firewalls and routers. (That means I can't use it. )

The standard has been around since about 1988, so people ahve had loads of time to figure out ways to black hat hack it.

Well the AIM was nothing more than chaos, and some can't so Skype. Looks like were at a concensous to just not talk to each other.
