I tried this out G-force, no problems yet. When I played it for a while, the screen suddenly goes dark, the image rolls and goes out. I checked the voltages and they added up to 4.9, and it was working perfectly before that...
Also, do you ever have to let the screen "warm up"? After not playing it for several hours, I have to give it about 3-4 seconds before the screen lights up. but after that point, it works fine. (similar to those lights that have to warm-up for about 3 seconds before they click on)

Nope. Im wondering why this happens, even though it isint causing problems. Im not going to do anything about it, cause it works fine. The playtime on rechargeables lasted 3Hours+ I left it on for an hour, and then played it for a little more than 2 and it finally shut off. (play it as long as you want with a computer!)goodie wrote:Are you using a 7805? That sounds like what happens when a 7805 overheats.

I cut it off at a point where the only thing I cut off was power, and audio. I left the speakers off, and it was simple. +5V ground and audio in, and Audio out.electromaster64 wrote:When you cut the audio amp off of the Hip Screen how did you hook it up, resistors and all that? did you build a new video controll board or use the one it came with?
