Ipod stuff to work on the psp? just a thought, write in

Post by FDSMAN »

ok, um I was wondering if it would work becuase the psp uses a 3 pin connector, audio jack, and the ipod uses a 2 pin connector, audio jack, so I was thinkin what if someone tried to plug it in, or make a cable with the 3 pin connector ,audiojack and an ipod connector on the other side

No it won't work sorry. The psp connection is actually a serial port. So you can make connection for that so that it connects to your computer thru a serial port.

what are those? audio amplifier and FM transmitter?

they could probably be hooked to the headphone jack and get power from the other connector.

first off i'm strapped for cash
second, I got my psp and I want to use some ipod accesories becuase there cool and the connectors are almost exactally the same, just one pin missing on the ipod stuff i'm thinking that third pin is needed, if someone can give me I guess you could say the pin outs on that second connector on the psp and the other connector on the ipod

just get a generic FM transmitter, it works with anything that has a standard headphone port. If the PSP doesn't have a way to use headphones, I'd be amazed (mostly because I saw a guy using one with them I'm pretty sure, but that's beside the point)

oh well, I'm sorry for sounding angry, its just ipod things are cool, the iTrip I guess can go but what about the iTalk? eh? also I found this

http://nil.rpc1.org/psp/remote.html

might help me a bit I guess, see what you guys can make of it

edit,

I really invision a cable that goes from the two connectors, up to the top of the psp nest to the usb port, so it will be more ipod like

that remote program page, I was wondering if anyone can figure out how to make a program for the psp go out to the serial port or somthing for the iTalk
