I have finally added the VMU into my DCp design, and it's removable too! The CD lid will be approximately 3/8" thick with a window going directly through it to the VMU screen underneath. You can see on the picture below where the VMU window, DCp LCD, and CD (small circle inside of the larger one) are going to be located. The CD will of course be located under the lid that contains the DCp LCD. The upper edge of the CD will slightly overlap the bottom of the VMU casing, but will not overlap the VMU screen. As you can see, the top of the VMU will be protruding a little more than an inch which I believe to be acceptable.
