Cable problems

well, I need to know how to fix my cable and comcasts website is no help the guide shows up and everything but the screen is black and even if we change the channel it shows up but it doesn't show our program, what i mean is that it will show the programs name but it won't show the program on any channel

Then go to the nearest comcast office and trade that broken piece of crap in.

its not borken its somthing I did with the remote we got it to work but we end up having to play somthing off of the dvr then it works, but when we turn it off it won't play anything so we do the same thing, is there a way to fix this?
