Lid switch! Power switch too!

Post by atkafighter »

Hi,
I know this was discussed a long time ago, but I wasn't about to revive it. My question is can I rewire the lid switch to a tactile switch so i can move it to under the lid (I am asking because I need the area where the switch already is to be flat).

Also if I remove the power switch (unit goes on with battery or is off) do I reconnect the leads this way

I would, but I need someone to teach me how to use it. The manual that came with it (a folded piece of paper, not quite a manual heck not even a sheet of paper its about the size of my recipt) tells you to plug in the red and black connectors and thats about it. I bought it a few days ago and I'm new to electronics.

EDIT: Just checked the current lid switch has 4 leads, the same as a normal tact switch. Hmm
