when I was a kid working at mcdonalds I had to work a wang every day. They were our counter machines. I was there when they were installed, it must have been around '97 or '98. If you needed to see a wang, McD's is the place to go--they're still current machines.
We used to joke about them constantly. If you're a 'wang user', then somebody before you was obviously employed with the title of 'wang installer'. Before him was the 'wang packer' and 'wang inspector'. There are also 'wang technicians' and 'wang salesmen' involved. When you network them, you need to purchase a special 'wang interface' for your server. (turning it into a 'wang server')
When you'd take over somebody's register, you'd be 'jumping on their wang'. Don't mind me, I'm just 'wiping down my wang'. My wang doesn't respond when I hit it... can somebody help me clean the hot fudge off of my wang? (yes, there were sexual harassment laws back then)
and we had one extra in back. so you'd have to take the wang out of the box if the wang on the counter went down. and you'd make sure you wrap the wang in plastic before you shove it back into the box or it might get damaged.
oh those were the days
wang was the first to come out with a pocket calculator--an item I *NEED*. No, I'm not happy to see you, that happens to be a wang in my pocket. That and I really need to order that 'wang interface' for my computer. Maybe I should ask the nice people at Best Buy if they can order one.

Well, let me think...
We got our first compy in 1996. Now, I was really intimidated by the thing. I didn't know quite what it was, or what it was for. Then again, I was 8.
My bro, on the other hand, was 11, and knew one or two things you could do on the machine. Well, he knew one.
Play Games
And so began his and my farray into the Video Game world.
Now, I had a funny little technique that used to really bug my bro.
I would always let him play the game first. I'd watch him. Religiously. Watching every move. Noting every mistake. My autism only made it easier. Finally when he'd won the game (games like Commander Keen, Moster Bash, Crystal Caves) he'd let me try. But by this time, I was an expert and was able to finish in a forth of the time it took him to do it.
Finally he caught on and wouldn't let me watch for more than a few seconds before shooing me away, but it worked for many moths. And looking back, I love hwo smart I was.
