quick battery questions

im either goin with to battery set ups they both will work i just have a few quick questions

1. does any body know of any good rc batteries with either 4v, 6v, or 7.2v,
with a lot of amps the most ive found is 3300 maH

2. it sounds stupid but i need to know were to get a 7808 radio shack doesnt have them.

3. suggestions i can either go with two rc car batteries or my other set up witch is one rc car battery and 4 lithium polymer batteries
the probley with the second set up is is its gana be annoying to charger the batteries. but the two rc car batteries i dont think i can find with as much maH as the lithium polymer has cause im running the lithium polymer batteries in parallel then connect in series with the rc car battery giveing me 14v 6000maH but the way i have it set up ive been told the mah is 2400 around so im in a predicament if some one could enlighten me with advice i apperciate it

go for 2 7.2 RC car batteries and a 14.2 volt charger from batteryspace.com

i havent gotten them on a ful;l charge yet cause my charger hasnt gotten here but with 3000 ma id expect i little under 2 hours and above 1 and a half

yea see i can get more life if my batteries are what i think (6000maH)
but if they are 2.4amps then im gana go with rc but i dont know thats the thing .. i needdd to knowww lol

four 3.7v at 1500maH each in parallel
to make 3.7 at 6000maH

then connect in series with a
9.6v at 1000maH

to make a battery with 14v at ??????????

i dont know if that would add 6000 ma because the lipoly batteries would ba at a lower voltage

that is just wat seems logical to me
plus the batteries would be almost impossible to charge haveing 2 different types

yea i know i have two differnt chargers for them i made it so the rc battery is detachable and the lithium polymer has terminals

but im just gana look for other batterys with high mah that would work
cause i need atleast 2 1/2 hrs of battery life just because i do ....... so yea

In order to do what you want (and it's NOT recommended to hook batteries of different voltages and mAH ratings together, especially the explosive lithium-polymers), average the mAH, actually, it's a ratio. You'll have to convert them to watt-hours and average those. Then divide the final rating by 13.9v to find the final mAH rating.

yea thanks the batteries work fine together but im not useing them chargeing is to annoying

I tried calculating the mAH rating of the batteries and it ends up being around 1900mAH or something, very poor for li-poly batteries. You wasted a LOT of cash on them when you could've just gone out and gotten 2 7.2v Ni-Cds from RadioShack that, when wired in series, total 2000mAH. Even better are the Ni-MH ones that are exactly the same size and shape but have 1000mAH more.

you are correct sir execept one thing .....no money was wasted i got them for free so yea but other wise yea i should get the two 7.2 batteries but first i wana make sure theres no 12v batteries with decent mAh and price
cause i rather do that

unless one thing i was wondering the gamecube needs 12 but it can run off of 14v does useing 14v make it last longer ?

Aha, then you are good. I think that you'll get the same life on 14v, but Gamelver is better suited for answering that question.

what about 12v battery know any websites
im shooting for 3-6 amps anything under that ive found
just because besides rc batteries the high amps batteries ive found are expensive because i have to buy 2 cause there always 7.2v
plus i like to just have one battery for chargeing purposes even if its a little bit big.
