Welp, Im an idiot
I was going to show my friends my progress on my PSoneP but the battery was coming undone, so I rewired it in a more (perhaps bad) way, and then I plugged it back in and up went the smokes of faliure. I was like "Crap..." and i really have no explanation, although a few questions. like...
1. Did it fry my screen also? its a psone screen
and how come just changing how the battery was connected fried it. I have pictures...btw, these were taped up with electrical tape
Before (it came undone from this...)
<img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y153/H ... GA0418.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">
then I changed it to this thinking it would be more secure...(also taped well)
<img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y153/H ... GA0417.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">
and low and behold, my playstation crapped itself...Im not too upset because it was the cheapest part so far but still, BLARG!! feed back would be appreciated, thanks.

If you have the + on the battery hooked up to the red wire, I think you have it wired backwards. On my psone the tip is positive, which would be the insulated white wire.

no Im pretty sure red is positive and black is negative and I know the about the connector for sure. I will try jumping. Will the fuse look damaged of normal? AND the plastic shield looks fine too, I was baffled.
EDIT: CRAP IT WAS backwards (+ and -) you are right!! darnit and I did have red to the positve the first time. Man I am an idiot really. I didnt even notice in the picture until I went back and looked, is it still possible to repair it or do I have to buy another? now I am angry at myself. which brings me back to my rule of thumb, check twice wire once.... I hate logic!11
Now, what about my screen? is that doomed too? if so, I quit.
P.S. I hate myself

the green arrow is what got fried I think, and the red arrow, is to where I tried to jump the fuses, I dont know if thats the fuse (Im pretty sure) and I dont know whether I did it right, by just using a wire to connect the left metal piece to the right. but what ever
