ok, i go to work, and my ipod says there are no songs on it. there are photos, but no songs. i get home, and i connect it to my computer, and look around on my ipod, and i can locate the songs on it, but still no songs when i unplug it. PLEASE HELP!!!!
YAYAYAYAYAYAY i got it working!!! all i did was think of possible fixes, got bored, was thinking of what tech support would say, then remembered that dilbert thing. "REBOOT!!!" i scream out. sure enough, a toggle of the hold switch and a press of the menu and select botton BAM!, it works.

And why are the mods locking threads without posting? That is like the main rule of modship, you tell people you locked it and why, you don't just lock it.
morale of this story is: before you think something is broken
1. un plug it and plug it in again
2. reboot
3. hit it
4. wait for 5 minutes
5. take it to a professional
thats better.. i would like to make an ipod in to a GBO case or a shuffle in to a controller case for a charger.. but i don think the shuffle likes the normal USB charger mod.
ooo oo I got it....charge the battery, I kind of had that problem before mine got washed, I just used a needle and pushed the reset button, and my songs werent gone
