Cd player= PSONE?

Post by bioniclebert »

Ive fit a CD player inside a PSone case. The Power button presses PLAY and the Open button presses stop. You know, You open the CD player to stop the disc and put in a new one....

The Power button also presses the "Next song" button after the CD player is on. Because I'm moving, A couple of things are going to be slowed, As in My ability to work. So basically all I have non packed is the soldering Iron, Needle nose pliers, superglue, and this PSone CD player.
Internet will be cut Next monday and then reconnected hopefully on friday. (thats when the adelphia guy comes into the new house.) So building will be slow these next two weeks, So this may have to be the last mod until then.

Pictures hopefully later. All thats left to do Is rewire the volume control to the front of the PS1.

Well, that's cool...But the PSone already plays music CD's (and some videos) so why bother?

The PSone was broken. The new "psone" will work. :)

That's a cool idea, but not pulled off very well. Power and Open should do just that. Add in the other buttons, and it'll be a lot mroe convient.

It'd be cool if you made the controller do the other buttons, though it'd need to be a special controller…maybe you could make a PSone into a cheap portable DVD player, use the screen to watch them!

better yet get a psone that works and make it to a cd player/Psp.. or a PSCP, that would be nice a vary slimifyed psp with like a slimmerifyed hipgear or casio and little controls so the hole thing fits in your pockets... tobad the ps has no fun games on it.

We wish, but the motherboard in the PSone is too big for that.
