I have a gbc and i heard if youtook the screen ouyt of the case it won't work. is this true

Well, the screen won't work with anything but a GBC board...

If you try to backlight it, you won't see any colors or greys, jsut washed-out greys.

Could you please be a little more specific? I don't quite get what you're saying.

he means like if you open up the GBC and then take the screen off the GBC then re-attach it to the GBC, the screen wont work
