It is a very pretty console, but outdone himself? There are dozens of sites online that tell you (and show you) how to make your own mvs console. I think that's the cause of silence on the mvs console craze ben's in right now. (A always assumed he had made supergun already...)*o* wrote:WOW!!!! that is amazing!!!! great job ben! you have really outdone yourself....again!!!!
But there's only one site that I know of that will show you how to solder a cart slot on to an 'OAC' system, or help you turn old systems into portable systems. That's where this site outdoes itself. This is definitely a one of a kind site, but not for MVS console.
I don't want to start a flame war, it's easily one of the prettiest mvs consoles I've seen, but it's not new, and there have even been pleanty of people offering to sell you a supergun for years. (though I haven't seen a dedicated mvs-console retailer)

looking at them again, I'd forgotten how ugly the other MVS consoles/superguns were...G-force wrote:Reaperman, can you post some of those sites? I would like to see how they compare to bens. Not for buying purposes, just for the heck of it.
Anyway, to head off confusion before it starts, the MVS uses a slightly modified JAMMA connector, so any old supergun will do.
consolized mvs systems:

other helpful, and less helpful, sites:

http://cps2shock.retrogames.com/jamma.html
http://www.gamesx.com/
http://www.hardmvs.com/
http://www.aloha.net/~the_matt/supergun/
retail options:

http://www.ravengames.co.uk/super.htm
http://www.arcadeheaven.co.uk/supergun.html
http://www.stalemeat.net/uberia/ (broken?)
or there's ebay:

seriously though, superguns are neat, but arcade cabinets are less expensive (than most retail options) and more impressive. I was almost to the point of construction when I realized how much cheaper my cabinet was ($250 w/game) than buying an MVS board, game, power supply, video converter and THEN getting to mess with it....
