Running Hip Gear Audio on 5v???

How is everyone getting audio from their Hip Gear screen? Can you run the audio amp at 5v? And What should I do with the 7808?

If you are using less then 8V to power it, bypass the 7808. The audio amp can run at something like 3V to 8V. Hope that helps. What are you making btw?

Yeah I am finishing up my SNESp. I just got back from Asia to finish school. I didn't get internet that often there so thats why it has been a while. But hopefully now that I am back I will be able to finish this thing. I am going to use a Hammond aluminum enclosure for the main part of the case and a 3/8" piece of HDPE (a cutting board I bought at Bed Bath and Beyoned) for the front.
